The story of the distillery Brigljević in Velika Gorica started as a passion project. They eventually created the first-ever Croatian craft gin by making herbal rakijas and liqueurs at home. Additionally, their barricaded Dark Forest grappa and aged Barrelina cider are noteworthy. The Patrik distillery produces high-quality fruit liqueurs and premium rakija.

Varionica a pioneer craft brewery in Zagreb and Croatia, was established in 2014 and has recently relocated to a new modern facility in Pisarovina. In the same year, master brewer Franjo Razum founded the Razum microbrewery in the basement of his family house in Samobor. He exclusively sells lagers in his beer hall, and his speciality is the unique beer liqueur called Pliker. In addition, the Zelina area has joined the beer scene by adding two small craft breweries, Maximus and Angeluš . Although they currently operate locally, they have broader aspirations, and their beers are gradually gaining popularity beyond the borders of Zagreb County.
