Under the auspices of the Zagreb County Tourist Board (TZZZ), the destination Zagreb County – Health from the Heart of Croatia was successfully presented at one of the most prestigious international tourism fairs, the TTG Travel Experience in Rimini, held from 8 to 10 October 2025.
The Zagreb County Tourist Board participated in the joint stand of the Croatian National Tourist Board, further strengthening the county’s strategic positioning in the Italian market. Italian visitors are showing growing interest in sustainable, health-oriented and regenerative forms of tourism, confirming the strategic direction chosen by Zagreb County.
A key highlight of the presentation was the Naftalan Natural Health Resort from Ivanić-Grad, a unique centre in Europe and worldwide, renowned for the exceptional therapeutic properties of natural naftalan—a rare medicinal resource used exclusively in Croatia. As a symbol of excellence, innovation and long-standing tradition in health tourism, Naftalan was showcased as a flagship of Zagreb County’s tourism offer, positioning the region ever more strongly as a destination of health, quality of life and sustainable development.
“Participating in the TTG Travel Experience in Rimini is an important step forward in the international promotion of Zagreb County and a confirmation of its strategic focus on sustainable, health and wellness tourism. Naftalan, as a global rarity, demonstrates how tradition, natural resources, and modern approaches can be combined to create an offer that delivers real value to visitors.

“Presenting Naftalan in Rimini generated considerable interest among industry professionals and business partners. The Italian market values health, quality and a personalised approach—elements that perfectly align with the philosophy of our health resort. We believe that this participation will open the door to new partnerships and contribute to an increased number of guests from Italy,” emphasised Milica Birk, Assistant Director for Health Tourism at the Naftalan Natural Health Resort.
