Among numerous beneficiaries, the Zagreb County Tourist Board secured the Fund for Underdeveloped Areas' largest single allocation, amounting to EUR 448,000, thereby confirming its leading role in strengthening and advancing continental tourism. “This is not merely financial support, but a strong confirmation that continental tourism in Croatia holds exceptional potential and is gaining increasing importance. The funds we have secured will enable further connections with local communities, improvements in infrastructure, and the development of tourism products that highlight the authenticity of our region. Our goal is to create content that not only attracts visitors but also generates added value for residents and the economy.” said Ivana Alilović, Director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board.
The event brought together representatives of tourist boards, local and regional officials, and key stakeholders from the tourism sector. Through the exchange of experiences and the presentation of development plans, participants further highlighted the importance of strategic investment in continental tourism.
With the most significant single amount of secured funding, Zagreb County continues to position itself as a leader in continental tourism, developing distinctive and recognisable offerings that make the region a must-visit destination for both domestic and international visitors.
