The Zagreb County Tourist Board has achieved remarkable success in promoting its destination by winning an award for one of the best tourism films at the 35th World Tourism Film Awards. The event was held in Valencia, Spain, on November 22, 2023, and was organised by the International Board of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT). This festival celebrates the best in tourism advertising and awards the best tourism films of the year.
The ceremony to present the awards was held at the renowned Oceanográfico venue, where the promotional film, Zagreb A Taste Above, received the esteemed 4th position for the Best Tourist Film of the Year in the tourism products category. After winning several international tourism film festival accolades, the film was nominated for this year's award.
Ivana Alilović, the Director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board, expressed her immense pride at the recent success achieved by the organisation. The film “Zagreb A Taste Above” was created in cooperation with the production company Sekunde, and it reveals to the visitors of Zagreb County that enjoying the wine roads also means getting to know the customs, traditions and culture, the place and the table. Cooperation with winemakers, their stories and authentic experiences created a film that stands out in tourist communication, according to director Alilović. The film is not only a promotion of the destination. It successfully invites foreign and domestic visitors to explore the green ring surrounding the metropolis.

The International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT), a member of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), is a globally recognised platform dedicated to promoting excellence in tourism audiovisual content. The CIFFT Circuit aims to celebrate the creativity and efficiency of tourist
campaigns, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing within the industry. The competition is supported by the European Travel Commission (ETC), the Central American Tourism Agency (CATA), the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), and Skal International. It has the support of the Think Tank for Tourism and Society (TSTT).
