Happy World Tourism Day!

Zagreb County — Where Natural Beauty and Rich Traditions Meet a Sustainable Vision of the Future

Stretching across more than 3,000 km² and home to 9 towns, 25 municipalities and nearly 300,000 residents, Zagreb County is a destination shaped by people who proudly preserve its identity and authenticity.

With 54% agricultural land and 40% forest areas, our region is naturally positioned for the development of sustainable and regenerative tourism.

In 2024, Zagreb County welcomed 169,000 visitors, recorded almost 307,000 overnight stays, and hosted 1,167 events, while more than 16,000 family farms form the backbone of our unique food and wine culture.

We proudly safeguard 309 intangible cultural assets, and as the first tourist board in Croatia to sign the Glasgow Declaration, we continue to lead the way in sustainability and climate responsibility.

Thank you to all our partners and local communities for shaping the tourism of the future with us — authentic, green, and resilient.
