The Tourist Board of the City of Dugo Selo and the Pučko otvoreno učilište Dugo Selo are organising the Flower Fair – “Dugoselski Cvijet” and the traditional event “Jagodan” on 29 and 30 April, starting at 5:00 PM. The official opening ceremony of the Flower Fair will take place on the plateau in front of the Public Open University in Dugo Selo (Antuna Mihanovića 2).
Following the opening, an eco-workshop on waste separation will be held, organised by DV Didi Puhovo, while children from DV Dugo Selo will present a special performance.
At 6:00 PM, the theatre play “Čudak Šumek” will be performed by Kazalište Mala scena.
“Jagodan”, symbolically marking the beginning of the Month of Dugo Selo Strawberries, will be celebrated with a competition and the distribution of strawberry strudel to visitors. Special guests of the fair include the Udruga ljubitelja kamelija Opatija (Opatija Camellia Lovers Association), who will host a workshop on growing and pruning camellias on Saturday from 10:00 AM. From 3:00 PM onwards, a terrarium-making workshop will be held, led by horticulture engineer Tonko Katanović, M.Sc., and phytomedicine engineer Marijana Tomić, M.Sc.
