“Considering that food and beverages are among the key travel motivations on the global tourism market, significant potential has been identified for synergy and strategic development. Tourists wish to experience local gastronomy and culinary offerings as a way of truly connecting with a destination,” stated Ms Ivana Alilović, Director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board. She added that “through the synergy of all stakeholders in the tourism value chain, the Zagreb County Tourist Board — via the third national Days of Flavours of Croatian Tradition project — is strengthening the development of food and beverage concepts through a strategic approach, as also adopted in the Sustainable Tourism Strategy 2030.”
