On the occasion of the anniversary of the decision on the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Croatia, the Association Kupa – The River of Life, the municipalities of Pokupsko and Lasinja, in cooperation with the Equestrian Association of Homeland War Veterans Pokuplje, are organising the kayak–canoe–rafting regatta Kupski Plov 2022.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the decision on the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Croatia, the Association Kupa – The River of Life, the municipalities of Pokupsko and Lasinja, in cooperation with the Equestrian Association of Homeland War Veterans Pokuplje, are organising the kayak–canoe–rafting regatta Kupski Plov 2022. The regatta will take place on Saturday, 25 June 2022, starting in Lasinja, near the bridge on the right bank of the River Kupa, and finishing at Pokupsko Beach. Departure is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. (participants are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes earlier). The route covers approximately 20 kilometres and takes 4 to 5 hours. Full logistical support will be provided, including transport of personal belongings and participants between the start and finish.
All participants will be welcomed with a complimentary drink and light refreshments at the start, as well as a warm meal upon arrival, with no entry fee required. After refreshments at Pokupsko Beach, the programme continues with the lively Obala–Kupa Games — entertaining water and riverside competitions featuring both kayakers and horse riders. Participants are welcome to stay overnight at the beach in their own arrangements (tents and camping equipment).
On Sunday, 26 June, the excitement continues with the Pokupski Drevokup, a dynamic team competition featuring a variety of engaging and entertaining disciplines. A rich hospitality and live music programme is planned for both days, ensuring a vibrant festival atmosphere along the river.
All participants must bring the appropriate equipment required for safe navigation. Participation is at one’s own responsibility.
