We were thrilled to witness the inaugural flight of T'way Air on the popular Seoul to Zagreb route!
On this evening, T'way Air's inaugural flight on the Seoul—Zagreb regular route marked a significant milestone as 337 passengers arrived in Croatia, reinstating the air bridge between Seoul and Zagreb after a five-year hiatus. From May 16 to October 26, T'way Air will operate three weekly flights to Zagreb, making it the airline's premier European destination.
"Facilitating connections between Croatia and the Zagreb County is our central objective. Our aim is to enhance visibility and improve accessibility to our destinations. After five years, we have achieved a milestone by establishing a direct flight to the significant market of South Korea, which has consistently appreciated the natural beauty and cultural significance of continental Croatia," stated Ivana Alilović, the director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board. She further highlighted, "Zagreb County has long been acknowledged as a premier tourist destination in this market, and we anticipate a substantial increase in tourist arrivals from South Korea."
According to data obtained from the eVisitor system, Zagreb County experienced a tenfold increase in tourist arrivals from South Korea in 2023 compared to 2022, along with an eightfold rise in overnight stays. The majority of South Korean visitors opted to stay in Jastrebarsko, constituting over 70% of the total overnight stays, while Velika Gorica accounted for 16.5% and Samobor witnessed a 12% increase in overnight stays.
