The daytime festival, located a short distance from Zagreb, continues to gain popularity across all age groups. Over the weekend, the event drew a diverse and lively crowd, showcasing the emerging "Vibes" concept. This new one-day approach is a modern adaptation of the traditional Via Vino festival, a well-established component of the tourism offerings in the broader Zagreb region for many years.

The Via Vino Vibes festival occurred this year at the Dobra Berba Winery in Sv. Jana is situated on the slopes of Plešivica, a renowned wine-growing region celebrated for its exceptional wines and sparkling varieties. Notably, the area is often called the Croatian "Champagne" region due to its outstanding sparkling wines, drawing inspiration from its prestigious French counterpart. The acclaimed sparkling wine Piena emerged as a festival highlight, earning the esteemed title by gracing nearly every table, thus affirming its widespread popularity and exceptional quality.

The festival was distinguished by the presence of numerous renowned personalities, including food and beverage influencer Darko Kontin, former Masterchef contestant and author of the popular blog "Kuhana i pečena," Ana Antunović, and various other enthusiasts of the local culinary and viticulture offerings.

After the event, Saša Štula, the director of Dobra Berba Winery, emphasized the success of Via Vino Vibes as a harmonious blend of entertainment and an avenue to showcase the region's premier wine culture. This festival further validates Zagreb County's prominence in offering a diverse selection of wines, sparkling wines, and exceptional gastronomy. The substantial turnout of visitors this year is a testament to the event's undeniable popularity.

During the daytime, up to three DJs—Mirzaisfab, Aldo Morro, and Stanko Bonža —entertained the crowd until sunset. They enhanced the atmosphere with a mix of domestic and international pop hits and electronic music rhythms.

The ambience was truly remarkable. It represented a harmonious blend of captivating music, delightful companionship, and exquisite cuisine. Katja, among the attendees, remarked that the festival improves with each passing year. She, along with her friends, attended this year's event and has already expressed her intention to return next year.

During the event, guests were treated to an exceptional gastronomic experience featuring a selection of top wines, sparkling wines, and live music. The catering was provided by the renowned chef and entrepreneur Melkior Bašić, whose cuisine garnered significant interest, leading to additional plate requests. Each dish was carefully crafted using locally sourced ingredients, with highlights including homemade pasta rolled in cheese and accompanied by prawns, pancetta, and the increasingly popular smash burgers.

This year's festival featured two standout workshops in collaboration with renowned sommelier Darko Lugarić. As part of the Via Vino Academy, twenty winemakers from Zagreb County had the chance to expand their knowledge of sparkling, white, and red wines from the region. The workshops included in-depth wine tastings and analyses, and participants also enjoyed a tour of the Dobra Berba Winery, the leading partner of this year's festival.

The Via Vino 2024 festival was coordinated by the Zagreb County Tourist Board in collaboration with the Dobra Berba Winery. Notably, Zagreb County is distinguished as a boutique and weekend destination, holding the Green Destinations certificate. The tourism community places particular emphasis on sustainability, stakeholder education, and continuous innovation of the tourist offerings, resulting in a growing number of visitors being attracted to the region.
