The "Rose of Zagreb County" for 2024 was presented to Cantilly Garden Restaurant, Santa Domenica Trifecta Weekend, and Restaurant Mon Ami for their outstanding contributions. In addition, Nikolina Brnjac was honoured with a special award for her remarkable efforts in advancing continental tourism.

The "Rose of Zagreb County" award ceremony was held under the auspices of the Zagreb County Tourist Board in the picturesque setting of the Visitor Center in Velika Gorica. This esteemed event convened many distinguished attendees and commemorated the advancements and accomplishments of a burgeoning tourist destination that has experienced a notable surge in overnight stays. A total of 18 deserving recipients were conferred with this year's accolades.

At the esteemed Rose of Zagreb County event, awards were presented across six categories, with significant recognition for exceptional achievements. Ivana Alilović, Director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board, emphasised the significance of these accolades by stating, "These awards serve as a testament to our unwavering dedication to excellence and innovation in the tourism sector, with a specific focus on sustainability as a pivotal criterion. Each recipient has contributed exceptionally to advancing and promoting Zagreb County as a premier tourist destination. Their unwavering commitment and diligence inspire us all, demonstrating the remarkable accomplishments that collaboration can yield. I take pride in the achievements of all the awardees and commend all individuals who consistently elevate the standards of our tourism offerings through their work and zeal.

Chantilly Garden Restaurant was acknowledged for its environmentally conscious offerings, while Bedekovich Wine, known for its continuous promotion of sustainable viticulture practices, received awards in the sustainable tourism category. In the innovative products and services category, Santa Domenica Trifecta Weekend 2023 was recognized as the first Spartan race in Croatia, attracting many adventure tourism enthusiasts. Additionally, HoTur, a service business that enhances the tourist experience through innovative approaches, was also awarded.

The Ivančić family, proprietors of the Ivančić Restaurant and organizers of the event "Štruklijada, strudlijada i kestenijada," received recognition in the wine and gastronomic tourism category for their exceptional gastronomic offerings that highlight local specialities. In the lodging category, accolades were presented to Villa Cesarica for its luxurious and authentic accommodations and Feel Good, a facility renowned for providing an unforgettable guest experience through its services and comfort. Samobor catering luminaries Mirko Šintić and Matilda Mihalea Purić showcased the tradition and quality of Samobor as a tourist destination. The awards for socially responsible entrepreneurship were bestowed upon Naftalan Cosmetics- Ivalan Terme d.o.o. and Croatian Post.

At a recent event, the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Dr. Sc. Nikolina Brnjac, received a special award for her contributions to the advancement of continental tourism and sustainable tourism development. In her address, Dr Brnjac emphasised the significance of developing continental tourism to establish year-round tourism. Emphasising the importance of investments in Croatia's continental region, she highlighted its potential to enrich the country's sustainable tourism landscape. Dr Brnjac underscored the equal significance of Croatia's continental and coastal areas, noting the tranquillity and appeal of the former as a growing factor in travellers' destination choices. She extended congratulations to the other award recipients.

The equestrian club Trajbar Team, PUB Cubismo, Mon Ami, and "Green silence villa" have been recognised for their exceptional contributions to the active tourism and hospitality industry. Additionally, Ivan Belošević, the proprietor of the bakery Cipov from Buševec, was honoured for his outstanding achievements. These commendations were awarded for the unique catering concept, excellent service and innovation, promotion of sustainable tourism, and environmental preservation, respectively.

In the current year, a novel and pioneering tourist installation was unveiled in the Park of the Noble Municipality of Turopolje, highlighting the significance of safeguarding natural resources and upholding age-old traditions. This installation, encompassing illuminations and the arrangement of trees offers visitors a distinctive experience, thereby enhancing this locale's allure. Notably, the installation was conceived by designer Tina Miličević, who collaborated to develop the new souvenir for the Tourist Board of Zagreb County—earrings and a brooch crafted using a traditional weaving technique.

The talented Jane created a captivating musical atmosphere and delighted the guests with their performance, enhancing the evening.

The Tourist Board of Zagreb County is continuing this important initiative, which supports the promotion and growth of tourism in Zagreb County. Director Alilović states, "The people are always the main driving force."
