The workshop convened key institutions from the City of Velika Gorica, along with local entrepreneurs and stakeholders who contribute to the tourism sector through their daily efforts. This collaboration between the public and private sectors has proven to be of significant value. Through the use of focus groups and interactive sessions, the participants identified challenges, opportunities, and priorities for the continued development of the destination.
This workshop illuminated the considerable strength and potential inherent in the collaboration among local stakeholders. The active participation of entrepreneurs who are immersed in and actively shape the tourism sector daily is essential to the development of an authentic, sustainable, and recognisable destination. I take pride in the fact that Velika Gorica served as the venue for this inaugural, highly successful workshop, establishing a solid foundation for future endeavors. - Ivana Alilović, Director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board
Following the workshop in Velika Gorica, the subsequent session will take place in the Municipality of Pušća, followed by a seminar in Brežice. This series of workshops will conclude the collaborative planning process, which is based on local narratives, experiences, and expertise.
The InterWine project aims to promote wine roads, events, and cultural heritage while encouraging active community involvement on both sides of the border. The objective is to create a recognisable, sustainable, and appealing destination for current and future generations.
The project receives co-financing from the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund as part of the Interreg Slovenia-Croatia programme.
