Night of Museums 2026 in Zagreb County

On Friday, 30 January 2026, Zagreb County joins the Night of Museums – a nationwide cultural event that, for one evening, opens museums, galleries, and heritage sites to the general public with specially designed programmes. This year’s Night of Museums has no overarching theme, as was the case in its early years, to enable all museums and galleries to participate according to their own capacities and to choose topics that best reflect their current interests and activities. As a result, this year’s programme across the county offers a diverse range of content – from digital and thematic exhibitions to guided tours, workshops, and open studios.

The Night of Museums is an excellent opportunity for both visitors and residents: tourists can discover the destination through its authentic stories, while residents are invited to rediscover nearby cultural spaces they may not visit regularly. Especially in January, when days are shorter and colder, the Night of Museums offers a perfect opportunity to get out and enjoy a meaningful evening, combining heritage, art, and local identity.

Admission to all Night of Museums programmes is free of charge (according to the organisers’ announcements).

Below is an overview of participating locations and programmes in Zagreb County.

BRDOVEC

• Presentation of the inclusive workshop project “From the Past to the Future in 13 Steps” and workshops for children and adults
