The previous day, we had the privilege of hosting Dominique Roudy, a distinguished French journalist, and his wife, Christine Roudy. Together with their guide, Jasenka Pasariček, they participated in an engaging program that showcased the natural beauty and culinary offerings of Zagreb County. The journey commenced along the Plešivica wine route, where the participants experienced an authentic Plešivica breakfast accompanied by sparkling wine at the picturesque Excursion Vinogradarska kuća Braje. At the Karlo restaurant, they enjoyed the chance to sample local specialties and traditional dishes. They also observed the preparation of strudel, which gave them a true taste of the warmth and richness of the local cuisine and its traditions. Touring Korak Winery involved a guided visit of the estate and the winery, including a wine tasting and a presentation on their offerings. In the afternoon, they arrived to visit Samobor, where they enjoyed the irresistible Samobor creamy Kremšnita cakes in Livadić Cafe. They were thrilled to sample Bermet, Muštrada, and wine at the Bermet Filipec cellar, where they also delved into the fascinating history of these unique traditional products. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the evening culminated at the enchanting Cantilly Restaurant. There, amid flickering candlelight and soft music, they indulged in an extraordinary culinary experience that felt almost magical, all set within a wonderfully romantic atmosphere.
