The VIA VINO Festival, offering free open-air film screenings at fairytale locations along the wine roads of Zagreb County—paired with creative bites and carefully selected wines—has already delighted its first visitors. The spectacular setting of the Plešivica hills and the cascading vineyards above Ivanić-Grad attracted numerous food lovers, wine enthusiasts and explorers last weekend, all eager to discover the wine road offerings of Zagreb County. The first weekend of the VIA VINO Festival exceeded the expectations of the organiser, the Zagreb County Tourist Board, not only in terms of excellent attendance but also through the enthusiastic response of visitors. Prvi vikend održavanja VIA VINO festivala, nadmašio je očekivanja organizatora, TZ Zagrebačke županije, ne samo izvrsnom posjećenosti već i oduševljenjem posjetitelja.
“Interest in participating has been exceptional. Visitors have recognised the new tourism experience we have successfully created, guided by the strategic development of the Zagreb County wine roads and by our target markets—domestic guests and, especially, Zagreb residents. VIA VINO offers outdoor experiences in nature, a creative interpretation of traditional cuisine, acclaimed wines and art through a selection of European films, wine cellar tours and a thoughtfully curated programme for a perfect weekend escape just outside Zagreb. The first two festival days are completely sold out, and only a limited number of places remain for the upcoming two weekends, which is a great acknowledgement for the Zagreb County Tourist Board and all our partners involved in organising this popular festival,” said Ivana Alilović, Director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board.
