British influencers are delighted with the Green Ring of Zagreb

In collaboration with the Croatian Tourist Board, the Zagreb County Tourist Board recently orchestrated a five-day itinerary for influencers from Great Britain. This initiative aimed to showcase the captivating attractions of the "Green Ring of Zagreb" and underscores the increasing significance of influencer-led tourism promotion in shaping perceptions of global destinations.

During their journey, they explored Plešivica, Prigorje, Moslavina, Turopolje, and Žumberak, immersing themselves in the local lifestyle, cultural traditions, and diverse culinary and wine offerings. By sharing their experiences with a broad audience on social media, they significantly boosted the visibility of Zagreb County as a sustainable destination in prestigious tourist markets.

"We take great pride in showcasing the finest offerings of our county, adhering to the tenets of sustainable tourism. The positive reception resulting from our collaborations with influencers, coupled with the increasing influx of international visitors to our vacation homes, wineries, and restaurants, serves as a testament to our alignment with the right course," stated Ivana Alilović, the director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board.

During their visit, the influencers partook in a range of distinctive experiences. They sampled wines at the Korak and Griffin wineries in Plešivica, as well as at the Dobra berba winery in Ivančići and the Voštinić Klasnić Winery in Graberje Ivanićko. They also indulged in local delicacies paired with indigenous wines at the Karlo, Ivančić, Gabrek, Kezele, Mon Ami, and Chop Old House restaurants. Accommodations included the Garden Hill Hotel in Velika Gorica and the Princess Hotel in the Plešivica area. Furthermore, they embarked on a forest adventure in the Turopoljski Lug on AvanTuropolje quads, engaging in a black truffle hunt. At the Naftalan Special Hospital in Ivanić-Grad, they gained insights into the unique medicinal properties of Naftalan, a substance that has garnered the hospital recognition across Europe and beyond. Their itinerary also encompassed a visit to the "Hrvatica" corn maze and the Franciscan monastery, along with an exploration of the natural allure of the Sopot waterfall in Žumberak and a visit to Monika Bračika's farm.

To truly experience Samobor, the influencers indulged in the renowned kremšnite at Kavana Livadić and U prolazu pastry shop. They also savored gastronomic delights at the Filipec family home, sampling bermet and mustarda, and at the Brigljević Distillery in Velika Gorica, where they enjoyed gin, brandies, and liqueurs.

"The authentic experiences our guests take with them after visiting our destination are invaluable. Each of these stories contributes to strengthening the tourism identity of Zagreb County," concludes Ivana Alilović.

Zagreb County once again confirms its position as one of the most desirable destinations for those looking for a proper combination of nature, culture and gastronomy, emphasising sustainability and authenticity.
