On Wednesday, 19 June 2024, the Zagreb County Tourist Board held a session of its Tourism Council at the Salvator restaurant in Samobor. The session was attended by Damir Fašaić, Head of the Administrative Department for Economy and European Union Funds, representing Zagreb County, and Iva Karabatić Pehar, Director of the Samobor Tourist Board. The Director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board, Ivana Alilović, stated: We analysed the significant growth in tourism activity during the first two quarters of 2024, while also focusing on ongoing projects and plans, emphasising the importance of cooperation within European-level projects. We will continue our work with a strong focus on initiatives vital to the long-term, sustainable development of our destination. Synergy among all stakeholders within the destination is key to sustaining this growth and strengthening destination recognition.”
During the session, participants discussed the positive growth trends recorded in the tourism sector during the first two quarters of 2024, numerous ongoing initiatives, recently implemented European Union–level projects, and other issues of considerable importance to the sustainable development of the destination.
