The Zagreb County Tourist Board wrapped up a successful year and is ready to take on new challenges by adopting its 2025 budget!

The Zagreb County Tourist Board, the principal organisation tasked with promoting and developing tourism within Croatia's continental region, concluded 2024 with exemplary results. This year was marked by significant increases in tourist traffic, innovative projects, and the destination's enhancement of international recognition. The budget for 2025 has been unanimously approved during the recent sessions of the Tourism Council and the Assembly of the Tourism Association convened at the Garden Hill Hotel in Velika Gorica. This budget presents ambitious yet realistic objectives. The primary emphasis will be on the ongoing development of sustainable tourism, the promotion of the region's authentic values, and the implementation of essential projects, while simultaneously securing additional funding from European sources.

"This year has been of great significance for our destination. Through ongoing collaboration with our partners, we have achieved a noteworthy 25% increase in accommodation capacity, secured funding from European sources, and implemented projects that have garnered the attention of both domestic and international visitors. I am particularly pleased with the adoption of the budget for 2025, which outlines ambitious plans for the continued development of tourism. Our dedication to sustainable development is further underscored by our commitment to the Glasgow Declaration, which affirms our responsibility towards environmental protection and the pursuit of climate neutrality," stated Ivana Alilović, Director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board.
