September in Zagreb County Brings a Vibrant Lineup of Events Blending Tradition, Culture and Contemporary Experiences

From festive harvest celebrations and wine gatherings to concert nights and cultural events — every corner of Zagreb County comes alive with a special rhythm in September. In Pušća, visitors can experience a traditional grape harvest “the way our ancestors did it,” while Samobor once again blends sport, wine and gastronomy through the popular Bermet Run. At the end of the month, Jastrebarsko becomes the centre of the region’s wine story during the Wine Days, featuring workshops, cultural performances and concerts.

The music program features some of the most acclaimed names in the Croatian music scene: Bajaga i Instruktori, Miroslav Škoro, Luka Nižetić, Dalmatino, Danijela Martinović, Jacques Houdek, and Mia Dimšić.

September is also a celebration of heritage — in Dugo Selo and Pisarovina, visitors can discover traditional dishes and customs, while numerous exhibitions and educational events in Brdovec, Zaprešić, Vrbovec and Velika Gorica highlight the region’s rich cultural identity.

Sports and outdoor activities also take centre stage, with a cycling tour in Sveta Nedelja, a visit to Pump Village in Dugo Selo, and an international badminton tournament in Samobor. Adding a special charm to the month are the Honey Days and Horseback Ride in Vrbovec, as well as the Fairy Tale Festival in Zaprešić.
