The Zagreb County Tourist Board is proud to announce the opening of applications for the annual “Zagreb County Rose” Award, which recognises excellence in tourism and honours those who, through their work, innovation, and dedication, shape the region’s identity and continuously raise the quality of its tourism offer.
This award is not only a symbol of success but also a strong incentive for further development and improvement of tourism, with a particular focus on sustainability, creativity, and authenticity. It celebrates individuals and organisations whose contributions enhance the visitor experience, create competitive tourism products and services, and promote the values of Zagreb County on the European tourism map.
Applications are open until 10 April 2025, and are open to legal and natural persons from both the private and public sectors who, over the past year, have implemented projects, products, or activities of significance for the development of tourism in Zagreb County.
Award Categories – Excellence Across Key Tourism Segments
The award is presented in eight categories, evaluating innovation, quality, sustainability, and long-term impact on the tourism offer:
- Sustainable tourism – Recognition for projects and initiatives that promote environmental sustainability, responsible resource use, and the preservation of natural and cultural heritage.
- • Innovative Tourism Products and Services – An award for unique and original concepts that enrich the destination’s offer and attract visitors in new and creative ways.
- Eno-Gastro Tourism – Recognition of outstanding wine and gastronomic experiences that enhance the region’s visibility and appeal.
- Excellence in Accommodation – An award for high-quality hotel, rural, and private accommodation providers offering exceptional hospitality, authenticity, and sustainability.
- Outstanding Tourism Professionals – Recognition for individuals whose professionalism, expertise, and dedication elevate the tourism experience and make it truly memorable for guests.
- Socially Responsible Entrepreneurship An award for entrepreneurs and companies that promote social responsibility, sustainability, and ethical business practices.
- Digital Innovation in Tourism - Recognition of the best digital solutions, campaigns, and tools contributing to tourism development and promotion.
- Best Event / Festival An award for tourism events, festivals, and manifestations that attract visitors and enrich the county’s cultural and tourism offer.
All submitted projects will be evaluated by an expert panel consisting of distinguished tourism professionals and media representatives, based on criteria including uniqueness, quality of implementation, achieved results, and long-term impact.

All submitted projects will undergo a detailed evaluation process, and the winners will be announced at a formal award ceremony.
Through this initiative, the Zagreb County Tourist Board aims to highlight and reward the best examples of excellence in tourism, encourage innovation and sustainability, and further strengthen the county’s position as an attractive and competitive tourism destination.
