Sveta Nedelja parish, situated just 13 km west of Zagreb, covers the plain and hilly terrain between the Sava, Okić, and Samobor mountains. Its first mention dates to 1501. The parish includes 14 settlements, namely Bestovje, Brezje, Jagnjić Dol, Kalinovica, Kerestinec, Mala Gorica, Novaki, Orešje, Rakitje, Srebrnjak, Strmec, Sveta Nedelja, Svetonedeljski Breg, and Žitarka, which has a total population of 18,032. Many visitors gravitate to this area for its diverse sports and recreational activities, such as cycling, walking, fishing, tennis, paintball, an adrenaline park, and top-notch dining options.
