Donja Kupčina's local museum marks its 50th anniversary as a steadfast protector of Pokuplje's cultural legacy. Located in a vast rural settlement near the Kupčina stream's convergence with the Kupa River, the village has long cherished its cultural heritage. As a result, Donja Kupčina is home to Croatia's second-largest open-air museum, which showcases the region's rich arable fields, meadows, and forests.

The natural beauty of mineral water springs is remarkable and holds immense value. The museum includes a fascinating set of country houses - wooden one-story houses and verandas, with outbuildings and ethnographic objects on display. The buildings of folk architecture are of exceptional cultural and historical value and represent the original residential and commercial buildings of the villages of Pokuplje, Turopolje and Hrvatska Posavina. The Museum and its surroundings will provide a traditional backdrop for exceptional photographs over the course of two days.

These two characters possess knowledge that surpasses even that of Google. Talking to them is an unparalleled opportunity to delve into the rich history of the locality.

Inside the Museum, you can find a diverse collection of items that showcase the cultural heritage of Donja Kupčina and its surrounding areas. This includes textiles, household items, ceramics, wooden and iron objects for practical and decorative purposes, farming tools, and wooden structures. You'll also find many other artefacts that depict the local customs and traditions.

We aim to transport you back in time with our selection of tastes and smells. We aim to help you unwind amidst the lush greenery and rustic wooden homes. You'll have the opportunity to capture breathtaking scenery and acquire fascinating new knowledge while enjoying a relaxing and enjoyable experience.


Workshops for all ages are held on Saturday, with activities tailored for adults and children.

Join Zrinka Milavac (ZMart@&dizajn) for Art and wine at 4 p.m. Spend a relaxing afternoon painting with no experience necessary. The price is 7 euros. Register at and contact 0989450798 for more information.

At 4 p.m., children's workshops will include games, quizzes, treasure hunt, face painting, and making paper flowers. Aunt Katica will also lead an interpretive tour through the museum. The workshops are free, but registration is required at
